Exploring valleys, mountains and glaciers has always been a fascinating purpose in our lives, as well as discover new ski lines in unexplored mountains. In the 80s and 90s, a few occasional attempts took place in the surroundings of Bariloche. In 2002, Gabriel Rapoport and Pablo Cattescu led an amazing heli trip along the Southern Patagonian mountain range in order to explore these wonderful mountains for heliskiing activities, being the pioneers in Argentina. In the further years they kept on operating in different areas of North Patagonia and the province of Mendoza, in a discontinuous way. In 2016 , we formed a solid team to operate in the area of Cholila, in the province of Chubut wich ended in 2018. Finally in 2021 we decided to get back and founded Heliski Argentina. Heliski Argentina is the outcome of all these years persisting in this challenging activity, which we are passionate, combining our experience with strict operational protocols, maintaining the highest standards of safety and guest service. We are now able to offer the chance to be part of its history and claim descents in these remote peaks.

Our terrain includes a vast zone of the Patagonian Andes Mountains, located in the province of Chubut (South of Argentina) south of the 42nd parallel, from the high peaks and glaciers near the border with Chile, to the desert ranges above the Patagonian steppe. Our base of operations is Cholila, a small and quiet town at the bottom of the mountains. From here we fly all around beautiful and wild mountains and ski terrains, like Cerro Dos Picos (2.515 mts.), Planchón Nevado (2.400 mts.), Cerro Tres Picos (2.490 mts.) and many others. Due to the proximity to the Pacific Ocean, these mountains receive a large amount of precipitations, and most of them are covered with glaciers. With an immense variety of ski terrain to choose from, we can accommodate skiers and riders of nearly all abilities. There`s a bit of everything, from massive alpine bowls, seemingly endless glacier runs, steep technical descents and couloirs and alpine meadows. -Base Elevation: 545 m (1.790 ft.) -Highest Landing: 2.498 m (8.195 ft.) -Average Run Size: 800 vertical meters (2.625 vertical feet)
